Lemon marble cake recipe by Delices and Gourmandises
Lemon marble cake is one of the most loved pastries. As a matter of fact, the aromas of chocolate and lemon mixed together give this pastry an original and amazing taste. It is for those reasons that Delices and Gourmandises decide to share the recipe with you.
Ingredients to serve 4 people
You will need
-200 g flour
-200 g sugar
-200 g butter
-100 black chocolate
-grated lemon zests
-1 bag baking powder
-1 spoon rum
How to prepare it?
-Preheat oven to 170C.
-mix the butter and sugar together.
-Add eggs slowly to the mixture until you get a smooth cream.
-Add flour mixed with baking powder to your mixture. Make sure you blend them well to avoid any lumps.
-Add rum and mix everything well.
-Divide your paste into 2 (2/3, 1/3). Put the grated lemon zest into the biggest share. Use cocoa powder or the melted chocolate with the other share.
-Pour a part of the paste containing the lemon zests into a buttered pan sieved with flour. Then, pour the chocolate paste into the pan before you finish with the lemon paste.
-Cook in the oven for 1 hour.
-The cake is ready when you put a knife in it and the blade comes out completely dry.
