A selection of Delices and Gourmandises for the best times of your life
The Côtes-du-Rhône doesn’t need any introduction. This is one of the oldest French appellations. And since 1936, the controlled appellation of origin (AOC in French) Côtes-du-Rhône was created to regulate the activities of the wine producers of the Rhone Valley: delimitation of the area of production, grape varieties, alcohol content, performance… The European name is currently being used: Protected Designation of Origin (AOP in French).
With more than 300 million bottles, the 42,000 ha of AOC produce one of the best ambassadors of the Rhone Valley, which explains Delices and Gourmandises choice.
Its red wines are mainly composed of Grenache grape variety for its warmth, its fruitiness and the roundness of its character. As they age, the tannins melt to reveal the fruit flavors and scents of the garrigue. To improve its aging potential and aromas, Syrah is sometimes added, peppery and structured, and Mourvèdre, with a strong personality.
Tradition on Delices and Gourmandises table
Great classic of French wines, Côtes-du-Rhône had to be in Delices and Gourmandises cellar. Its selection, the Marquis d’Arlandes, is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan. Its friendliness is perfect for large family meals around a game or a generous dish of red meat. Bottled at the wine estate, this Côtes-du-rhône AOP wine can age for 1 to 4 years, progressively revealing its character and aromatic finesse.
Gold medal at the young farmers competition, the Marquis d’Arlandes completes Delices and Gourmandises rigorous selection of wines for special events.
